Today The Netherlands celebrated the King's 49th birthday!
This year we went by train to Den Bosch!
Get yourself a warm drink, enjoy the day!
The station in Den Bosch still retains its old charm!
It wasn't very busy when we arrived.
"King's Day was colder than Christmas"
was the headline on one of the weather Internet sites!
Tasted good! As it rained and hailed !
There was outdoor heating but still....
I did take my gloves off though!
It's only temporary!
To avoid disappointment
better book your tickets via Internet!
We're a bit early so we'll stroll around...
and admire the architecture inside!
The sun's shining!
Light pouring in...
through the stained glass!
How about this one for a quilt block?
It's our turn! Time to go!
See those figures looking up?
When we reached the top we can look below, see their faces!
There's only one woman!
See her? Second from the front.
The second figure in this row,
Doesn't he look like Sam Eagle from The Muppet's?
We'll follow the specially made path.
The sun's still shining!
Views over Den Bosch
There's a nice roof top garden!
So much detail!
The designers and makers were creative and amazing!
They are all such characters!
A view of the scaffolding construction.
A few more photo's!
Wonder what this all about!
There's so much to take in! It's just so big!
And one angel has recently been up dated!
Enjoy the view!
It's time to go back down.
The weather can change oh so quickly!
The restaurants and terrace's really do make an effort!
Headed back to the station...a dry moment!
And King's Day wouldn't be King's Day
without a bit of shopping! A plastic cake stand!
Great for an outdoor picnic!
Now it's time for tea, it's 5C outside,
while the umbrella's dry out!
