A rainy windy day but a cozy morning at a quilt shop in Ede!
I'll be back in May to try a different workshop!
A bit of homework and the butterfly is taking shape!
That's the first Foundation Piece this year!

Cheese!

There's a new product available at the Scout Shop!
A plastic cheese slicer! Time to give this a test!
A nice piece of aged cheese will do!
Not too thick, not too thin!
Yes, definitely something that has the thumbs up!
Time for toast and cheese!

Talking about lists....

What a great start for finishes! With the success of the Cathedral Windows weekend and a completed table runner it's time to finish off the 9th and last block of Le Jardin by Red Brolly! Haven't had that out for quite some time! Feb 2014! Then these 9 blocks can be worked into the quilt  "Gossip in the Garden"!  That's a pattern I bought in November 2014! Along with the BOM's, and stitcheries that  I would love to sew along with this year, it will be a creative year indeed! Now, I just have to get good lighting. That sure does make a difference!
Here's something I have to share....it is a comment about quilting that someone posted over on Val's blog .... ".... explain why musicians are always writing a new song, or why dancers are always choreographing a new dance or potters are always throwing a new pot or why gardeners are always planting a new variety of rose bush ...." that would be a new Hosta for me!  Quilting!

Mid January! The last few days the world temperatures have been fun to follow on different blogs! Victoria, Australia around +40C, Flin Flon, Manitoba feeling quite cold at -30C plus add on the wind chill factor!  Here, we're around 0C tonight. Time to enjoy the comforts of fabric and creative adventures indoors! The hobby room is getting sorted! A great quilt design that I would love to try is Little Hazel over at Esther's Quilt Blog ! That is quite the eye catcher! Just have choose a few fabrics! Have you seen her 2016 Mystery Applique Quilt Along? Tempting indeed! Plus with elefantz gentle domesticity  and the soon to be in our garden hop I'm all set ! Plus a few UFO's and....Quilting! a fun and friendly hobby!
