Especially for you, dear reader!

Remember this, oke!
Good morning!A sunny, warm 13C afternoon yesterday!
You'll have to watch this garden space this year!
Signs of Spring! Snow drops !
The BCC, Buitenzorg Cleaning Crew, was busy!
There were 62 windows washed! Inside and out!
I'm still enjoying the results after the big shovel  resurfaced the main path between the Owls Nest and Main building at Buitenzorg last month, 14 December 2012! The railway tie/sleeper was removed! No more bump!
With such a warm January sun, it almost felt like Summer! Summer campfires! See you around the campfire circle this Summer? Or earlier?!
A great way to recycle all 292 collected Scout scarves!
 Buitenzorg has new party decorations!
 Thanks to the creative volunteers!

Good Morning! A very windy, rainy and warmest night, 13C, on record for January! It's 11C this morning! We were at -11C just last Friday! Now, back to Autumn weather! Cooling down to "normal" for the weekend! Anyway, enough weather for now. The quilt, DITG, Down in the Garden, is on the wall! Finished? Yes! But not quite! LOL! There are a few stitches needed here and there to put a few things right now that it's hanging. And! There are 8 more oak leaves needed around the border! Plus, there are a few squares, that if I see something Garden like to add, I'll have a place for!
DITG history! All 9 squares ready to be sewn together!
A fun technique l learned with the help from Youtube!
9 DITG sqaures ready for the embroidery! Thanks,
Wendi ,at Shiny Happy World, for  Youtube lessons!
The old Kayser hand sewing machine was fun to use!
I still haven't found one for the collection this winter!
All the pieces of fabric cut and ready to be sewn together!
I never counted how many!
The day the pattern arrived!
A great journey that lasted 18 months!
Thanks to all that were a part of it!

Queen Beatrix abdicates from the throne
Yesterday evening millions watched as Queen Beatrix told of her abdication from the throne!  Queen Beatrix will hand the reins over to her son, Prince Willem-Alexander on April 30th, 2013, the last Queen's day here in The Netherlands. Next year we'll be celebrating King's Day on the 27th of April, 2014. But, being on a Sunday, we'll be celebrating that on the Saturday! If you would like to read more, in Dutch, and see the broadcast click here

Hello! Glad to see you! Enjoyed the weekend?
Here? One day you're skating on ice!
And the next, you're swimming! 6C today!
9 to 13C tomorrow! What's great about this?
I don't have the allotmet! Which is next door!
After all that snow and ice, let's check the garden!
The Lilac(Sering) has a few buds!
 Then there's this 2013 project !
This arch has to be moved and constructed....
...in this border! More vertical gardening this year!
And DITG is almost on display!
Have a great evening! It's still light at 17.30!

500! This is my 500th Blog Post at
Teatime Gardening!
Good Morning! It's Sunday, and 2.5C. The snow is melting, rain clouds blowing in, a high of 6C today. A day to go for a walk, bake Oatmeal-Coconut-Cranberry cookies, get DITG hung on the wall and sort out a few fabrics for this years projects! Cups and Saucers will be attempted with the paper piecing technique!
One blog that I regularly visit is Shiny Happy World  Wendi shares great sewing and quilting tips and tricks, ideas and lessons via youtube! A super place to learn French knots and other stitches! Today she's starting a new Block of the Month quilt with triangle techniques, inspired by Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night! So if you like a bit of music, art and Vincent van Gogh you should really enjoy her post today! Wendi also has a link to the Dr. Who's episode with Vincent van Gogh! Thanks Wendi! It's a great episode! I watched it on the BBC, Christmas, 2011?
I hope you can enjoy a creative, musically filled Sunday!

Great to see you here today!
 Another beautiful morning!
One of the best so far this year!
I only adjusted the shadow effect! That's all!
The saying goes "Pink skies at morning...."
"...sailors take warning" or something like that!
We did get a bit more snow this afternoon!
 Just enjoy the special moments!
Who knows how long they will last!

Good Evening! It was a  -11C start to the day!
Started with a beautiful misty ride through the polder!
 Blue skies!
 Frosty details!
I was so enjoying today! Plus, it's a day when I can go grocery shopping in the morning, leave it all in my bike bags the whole day and not have to worry about the milk going sour or frozen veg thawing!
 A Winter blue sky day!
Dry air, clear bike paths and roads!
 The sound of gease!
And the bike ride home this evening was just as nice! I could have kept on cycling through the polder landscape with that crisp air, the sound of gease and snow reflecting the light from the moon! So uplifting if you like cold weather! Yes, it does feel like the last of the Winter snow :(  By next week Wednesday we'll be at +10C and rain! I might just have to bake Hot Chocolate Cheesecake next week! A recipe I read over at Brewcrew Life! That might be a way to remember today! I hope you could get out and enjoy walking through powder snow, feeling the warmth of the sun on your back while in good company! Keep your head up, keep your heart strong! Keep your mind set!

Hello! How's your day going?
I started today with a chilly Winter sunrise !
Better enjoy this cold dry weather!
Weather rapports say that warm weather's a coming!
But the sun has warmth this afternoon!
You've been asking about Dasty?
 Here's the proof!
We're almost ready for the first guests!
Just have to put it back together and
see if we can cook something on it!

If you live in The Netherlands and want a great degreaser to help you with the house cleaning you have got to try "Dasty" from the Wibra! What a great product! We're using it at Buitenzorg! No chemical like toxic smell! Soft on hands! Wibra price! I highly recommend it!
And the yogurt that I brought inside this morning and has spent the day in the fridge? Looks edible! Tastes fine! Tonight will be -9C so you can try making your own frozen yogurt!
