Last week I went on a three day garden tour to Picardie!
Hotel de la Cathedrale was in Rouen, Normandy!

Started each day with a lovely "petit-dejeuner"!

Visited beautiful gardens! All of them different!

Even the rain couldn't stop us taking pictures during the visit to The Shamrock garden in Varengeville sur Mer to see their National Hortensia Collection !

I'm all set for the Autumn!
An afternoon at the allotment!

I'll let the Zinnia's set seed.

The power of the earth!

Pumpkins out. Mint, Chives and flowers are in!

One of Scouting The Netherlands museums is located at Buitenzorg. They regularly get donations of "found in Grandma's/Grandpa's attic" stuff. Yesterday we were checking out the latest box of well preserved Scouting paraphernalia!

This Pathfinder magazine is from September 1933!

And a really real hand painted Delfts Blue tile!

One can feel the ridges of the paint!

Sometime's one just has to stop and take a picture!

Then it was time to start on that great idea I saw at Het Landje in Eemnes back in May! It's great figuring out the spacing for this pattern! Like quilting, measure twice, cut once. Or in this case drill 4 x 6 x 2 !
Sand, degrease, paint!

Still needs a bit of work!

There, dry brushed with a bit of brown!

Marmite! Marmite ( yeast extract, salt, vegetable extract, Niacin, Thiamin, Spice extracts, Riboflavin, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12) was first produced in the late 1800's by a group of German businessmen. It was distributed in the early and mid 1900's primarily through clinics and welfare organisations with specific emphasis on the brand being highly nutritious and ideal for growing children.
Marmite is a yeast extract in a concentrated paste form. It is manufactured by a long complicated process of extraction and refinement. Yeast is the richest natural source of Vitamin B. It provides 16.6% of the RDA of 5 of the B group vitamins per 4gr. serving.
The latest addition in my kitchen is the "Big Squeeze"!
