Cooler and Rain this morning! Lots of rain!
Mornings start with www.buienradar.nl
Does this signal the end of Mosquito season! I hope so! Then it's time to clean the dead mosquitoes off the ceiling! I'll spare you those photo's! But link you to some good cleaning music! Great Big Sea!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW3Wp7SH3JI
Still raining at 11! Did a few stitches ! Then Huevos Rancheros for lunch and a bit of kitchen humour! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az080LXT7FA
Then at 12 the rain eased up! Time to head over to the Hand Work Fest in Zevenhuizen! Always nice riding into Bunschoten. There is a bakery on the corner!
Almost there! Zevenhuizen and the KastanjeBoom Farm!
A windy hour later, I arrived and could park close by!
It is a working farm so it does have some Fun stuff!
And this wekend, lots of hand work stuff!
These handmade decorations could handle the wind!
With bags full, I headed back home!
Buttons! Buttons! Buttons! Fabrics for flowers! Fabric just because! Colours! Wooden things to turn into Bobbin Spirits or Bobbin Fairies! Almost everything on my handwork wish list! One more thing! Maybe they'll have it at the Summer Fair tomorrow! I better bring some Blonde Brownies! We'll need all the energy we can get!

This is a great flower to make with fabric! I saw beautiful examples done by Dutch Quiltster and Dutch Girl Quilting! This Hortensia will make a great mini block on DITG! Good thing the Handwork Fair in Zevenhuizen is this weekend! http://www.diabetesfonds.nl/evenement/handwerkfestijn
Another nice looking flower to add to DITG! Maybe a basket full of these on one of the mini blocks! And if you're in town, check out the Summer Fair at the Quilt Hoeve!                       http://dequilthoeve.blogspot.nl/   www.dequilthoeve.nl !

 A misty Summer morning!
 New Hosta flowers!
 And signs of Autumn!
A web in the morning sun!
A dew drop covered Acanthus flower!
Will try to save these seeds for next year!
 If you look closely....
you might be surprised at what you see!
Just like a warm midday sun!
 Over at Buitenzorg!
Thanks to the Hoge School Utrecht for the potting soil!
One groups mud wrestling dirt is another ones veg patch!
It seems that the Summer passed all to quickly!
Then Apple Crisp with Custard!

This morning I decided that I needed a pin cushion! Had a few ideas! So, while I was in Soest I stopped in at the Action! Haven't been there for a while. Must bave been at least a week and a half ago! LOL! Picked up a few of these!
I was looking for something not too light, that wouldn't fall over! Checked out there craft area for sharp scissors. They didn't have any but I found this! Good for the larger thread card storage!
And being that my Ikea sewing basket top is quite full, I decided that what I could turn into a pin cushion was at home!
 Look familiar?
Just need to make the cushion and glue it in place!

 Mail on Monday! Great surprise!
Woohoo! Order's in! Thanks Sas-Things!
Now this is a way of making toast at camp!
Wonder if they sell it at the Scout Shop!
Wonder if there are any other uses for it?!
 (Seen in Seasons magazine!)
Had a few spare minutes this morning as the commute to work wasn't so far! LOL! So started DITG Block 3 this morning!

Last week, 36C! Today, rain and more rain!
A few more stepping stones were added this week!
Everything is well watered and refreshed!
Big plants are great in  a small garden!
The grasses for the Autumn show are growing nicely!
And between the rain showers, a bit of sunny blue!
Hosta Sparticus is almost in bloom!
 Looking forward to seeing this!
 And that Ampelopsis!
A cozy rainy day to stay inside and sew and sort!Sort out all that sewing stuff! Look at this great sewing basket with legs! LOL Thanks to Dutch Quiltster for the tip! Ikea sells them as a side table with storage. But it does make a great sewing basket!
DITG Block 2! Just needs a few butterflies and buttons!
There is room on this block for the date when I started this quilt!
You know you're getting older when
it takes longer to recover than it does to get tired!

A new gadget at Buitenzorg!
Have you ever seen one of these? A weed burner!
What a difference a day makes!!
If you think about it, the possibilities with this thing are endless! Cream Brulee for 100? No problem! Starting a Campfire? Don't have to worry about the matches! BBQ won't light? Just a sec! Making new wood look old? Do I have a trick for that! And we can make a golden crispy topping on that cheesy oven dish! This is just the beginning!
And just to let you know!
