The allotment is ready for Winter!
Weather expected today: 18C
The right tool for the right job!
But how is it possible that these things work?
Garlic from the Lidl is planted.
This is Test 1. The arch is nailed in place and holes have been dug!
Seeds gathered this year.... Will grow to be this next year!
Holly Hocks
A great morning at the allotment!

To Voorhout by train, via Haarlem, for a
Netherlands Hosta committee meeting! There are still a few flowers to see along the way!
One business in Voorhout brings flower bulbs together with...
modern packaging for the international export market!
I learned how to grow an Amaryllis!

14C and an afternoon at the allotment! Solomon's Seal is planted here! Polygonatum commutatum
Rose campion (Bloody William, Mullein-pink)
Prikneus (Silene coronaria, Lychnis coronaria)
If this is 100% glue, what's in the rest?
Maybe this will stick things together!
Harvested the Hosta seeds!

Autumn in the Hosta Patch at Buitenzorg !
A great time to split and transfer Hosta's!

Hosta's are starting to change to their golden Fall colours! How about a yellow/gold Hosta for in the garden?! I checked out the Internet Hosta Catalogue/Search engine!
Hosta's Solar Flare, King Tut, Fruit Punch and Lemon Meringue made the list!
Then, as one does when one starts browsing the web, a second "must have Hosta" list started to grow! It starts with 'parent' Hosta Fragrant Bouquet, a Hosta with apple green leaves and creamy white edges and large, very fragrant flowers. Hosta Guacamole is a sport from Hosta Fragrant Bouquet! I have Hosta Guacamole and it smells gorgeous! Then there are Hosta's Fried Banana's and Stained Glass, which are both sports from Hosta Guacamole! It doesn't stop there! Hosta Tortilla Chips is a sport from Hosta Stained Glass! What a great combination of Hosta's to be potted up for a Mexican terrace!

A great start to an Autum day is with a walk in the woods! Then spent the afternoon at the allotment! Walked around to see what was in bloom!
Hope you could enjoy the day too!

Look what I found at the Soest Kringloop! Couldn't believe my eye's either!
Combined with a table lamp from Ikea...
Voila!
The Fall and Winter evenings are getting cozier!
A crisp frosty sunrise this morning! At 8:30 am headed to Soest through the polder!
Looks like the sheep are awake!
To Soest you take the first right over the tracks.
Don't forget to look up! Quite busy at Schipol yesterday!
